PAB members and local residents attended the Cheltenham Borough Council (CBC) Offices yesterday (18 March) to follow the debate concerning the petition to ask CBC to reconsider the sale of the car park. Despite vigorous contributions from PAB Councillor Stan Smith and colleague opposition Councillors, the motion to review was heavily defeated by the Liberal Democrat majority.

We were surprised to hear during the meeting that the sale had ALREADY been agreed and in fact contracts have been signed, despite the fact that the petition wasn’t due to be debated until yesterday.
