Councillor John Payne has resigned as our PAB Councillor for Prestbury

It is with great sadness that I have to report to you that our hard-working Councillor John Payne has decided to resign as our Councillor for Prestbury with immediate effect.

John’s caring responsibilities have increased unexpectedly of late, with the result he feels he has little option but to resign.

This has come as a shock to all of us and of course we as a Group need to find a replacement for John immediately. PAB has done so much good for Prestbury over the last 47 years and we are determined to continue supporting our local community.

A by-election will take place in October.

In the meantime, we send John all our best wishes and thank him so much for all his dedication and hard work for PAB and Prestbury over many years.
