Stan’s September Blog –

Another month filled with lots of meetings both in council and around the ward. Here are just a few of the matters I have been involved with. I have just finished a course on speed cameras so I can go around the ward doing checks, but I have to wait for police clearance first. Idsall Drive car park is now about to start being developed, with a five-bedroom, five en-suite bathroom house.  The local residents are not too happy about…

Doesn’t time fly, since the May election I have not had as much free time as I would have liked to walk round the whole Ward. There have been some big projects getting under way and I have been working hard on them, but there are still many smaller, local matters I am involved in pursuing – the grass verges in Southam Road, between Shaw Green Lane and Laxton Meadow, I thanked the Highways Department for cutting the verges, but…

As the Senior Councillor for Prestbury I take very seriously making progress with the smaller issues which local residents bring to my attention in addition to my responsibilities to our Town as a whole. Here are just a few of the day to day matters I have been dealing with recently: Priors Rd resurfacing – at long last we managed to persuade the County Council of the importance of this work being done on this major road approaching Prestbury. He has now made several visits to Glebe Rd to discuss residents concerns about flooding. He called in the local Inspector whose initial investigation could not get to the root of the problem so a full drainage investigation has been ordered. Priors Road – After extensive efforts  by PAB Councillors Smith and Bassett- Smith, working with County…

Why Vote PAB again in Prestbury

Why Vote PAB again in Prestbury

Reasons why voting for Stan Smith & PAB Group on 2 May is a sensible choice. – PAB are your free thinking, local Independent Party with their only loyalty to Prestbury residents not some remote mainstream party. – Stan Smith, the PAB candidate for the forthcoming Prestbury Local Election is an actual long standing resident of the Prestbury Ward as declared on the Ballot form. Half of the other six Prestbury candidates, all from the mainstream parties, have declared their…

PAB – Election update

PAB – Election update

Well, six months on, thank you for your support. Being your Councillor and working hard for the Ward has been a real privilege. I hope that on the 2nd May, you will vote for me and PAB once again. Just a reminder you have up to two votes as, unusually, we are electing a full Council this time. It is just me standing for PAB and to be clear you don’t have to use your second vote, your vote for…
